POETRY

Purpose

Purpose as it ought to be

New and different could it be

Playing peek-a-boo with me

And, blowing like a Frisbee

Purpose as it ought to be

Like hunting in the open

Summer walks in deserts

Or swimming in the ocean

Purpose as it ought to be

Left open in a chapter

Book that’s been no less than bible

And just dust on its cover

Purpose as it ought to be

Well understood and well written

Past some old and gold memory

And here is it all beaten

Purpose as it ought to be

Echoed in self for long

Hear it in deep silence

Or it may prolong

Purpose as it ought to be

Make the way through life

Love it, need it, accept it

Well, make it your wife.
